Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease mini muffin pans.
In a large bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add egg, milk, and pumpkin. Stir gently to combine.
Spoon butter into regular or mini muffin tins. Push 1 lima bean into each muffin cup with a chopstick.
Put muffin tin into oven and set timer for about 15 minutes. Test for doneness (toothpick comes out clean), and take out of oven.
